WordPress Plugins I Chosen for My Blog
Here is the list of my WordPress plugins and the reason I chosen them.
- Akismet: It’s not necessary to explain this plugin I guess, just active it.
- Add to Any: Share/Save/Bookmark Button: This plugin helps your visitors share your post to most popular social network, like Digg, Twiiter, FriendFeed, Facebook etc. Most WordPress users choose ShareThis, but I prefer this plugin, it has better look and more social network websites.
- Add to Any: Subscribe Button: From the same team as the first plugin. This plugin is for Subscribing, also offers a lot of social network websites.
- Adman: is a advertisement management plugin. There are many plugin in this category, the reason I chose Adman is because it’s simple and has functions I need. Adman lets you post your ads on three positions, the front page, before post content and after post content. I usually post Banner(468X60) ads on the front page and after post content, a Link Unit(468X15) before post content and a Small Square(200X200) or a Vertical Banner(120X240) at sidebar using Text Widget come with WordPress.
- All in One SEO Pack: has many SEO settings and easy to configure.
- diggZ-Et: adds a Digg button to your blog, you can choose where to display. This is a personal choice, because I like Digg.
- Easy Gravatars: adds a avatar to your comments using Gravatar.com service.
- FD Feedburner Plugin: I found this plugin newer than FeedSmith.
- FriendFeed Activity Widget: I would like to integrate one or two social network to my blog, I chose TwiiterTool before to integrate Twiiter, but I recently found I can see my Twiiter activities on FriendFeed, and then I found this plugin.
- Google Analytics for WordPress: Google analytics is enough for bloggers to monitor blog stat.
- Google XML Sitemaps: More functions than I expected, good job, Arne.
- Lightbox 2: Cool function to display images.
- Subscribe To Comments: helps visitors to fellowup their comments
- WordPress Related Posts: inctroduces more posts that related to the current one to visitors, helps visitors go deeper into your blog.
- WP-PageNavi: provides better navigation for visitors to find older posts.
- WP Super Cache: increases your blog loading speed.
I used to have a Ajaxed Comment Plugin, but I am now using the K2 theme which have a build in Ajaxed Comment function. That’s all plugins for my WordPress blog, feel free to tell me what plugins do you choose or suggestion for my blog.
